Metal Manipulation/ Cold Connection – Debora Mauser
William Holland – June 10-16, 2018
Take your jewelry creations to a new level with cold connections including riveting, tab setting and layered rivets. This class will also teach several ways to manipulate metal. We will use colored pencils, different patinas, and etching. We will color titanium by anodizing and torch as well as use a hydraulic press to form a dimension piece of copper. One project will include fusing Argentium wire. Class fee includes all metals and material to complete 7 unique projects. Sterling will be available as an upgrade if so desired. Perfect class for those that want to add many new skills to their toolbox
Mostly self-taught, Debora has been creating jewelry for over ten years, and teaching nationally for the past four. While wire is her first love, Debora’s work is far removed from the traditional square wrap that many people are familiar with. She incorporates stones, enamel and metal in a very contemporary fashion that makes her work unique. Debora’s classes are fun, stress free and packed with useful knowledge.
